Chairman of the Presidential Council, Fayez Al-Sarraj, called on “Libya’s brotherly and friendly countries” to assume their responsibilities and call things what they are by condemning the war on Tripoli, stressing that the call for a cease-fire must be coupled with the return of the aggressor force from where it came from.

In a meeting with a number of Arab, African and western ambassadors in Tunis, Al-Sarraj emphasized that the war will end and the Libyans will return to the negotiation table, calling for the preparation of a political process that takes into account the new realities created by the war.

He also called for exploring a new mechanism for dialogue that involves all Libyans without exclusion and to find new partners to negotiate with.

"The political process needs people who could keep their word and believe in democracy and the peaceful exchange of power," he said.
