The Presidential Council (PC) has welcomed -as the supreme commander of the Libyan army-the meeting that gathered Chief of General Staff, Lieutenant-General Muhammad Al-Haddad with the commander of Haftar’s forces, Abdel Razek Al-Nadori, in Sirte, on Saturday.

On behalf of the PC, Menfi said the council considers the meeting a step towards unifying the military institution.

The meeting between Al-Haddad and Al-Nadouri was the first of its kind that brought high-ranking officials from both sides to one table.

Al-Nadori described the meeting as very cordial, confirming that both agreed on the need to unify the military institution without foreign interference.
