The Information Office of Mitiga Airport in Tripoli has stated that the airport’s passport control system was out of order on Wednesday without specifying the breakdown period.
The malfunction led to heavy congestion inside the airport after the arrival of many passengers at the time of breakdown.
Passengers claimed that the head of Passport Control Office at the airport should bare full responsibility for the chaos inside the airport hall as he refused to allow anyone to pass without their name running through the system, which he said was in fear of wanted people entering the country and taking advantage of the malfunction.
