The spokesman of the Tobruk-based House of Representatives (HoR), Abdulla Blehig, has confirmed that the HoR session, which was planned to take place in Benghazi next Monday, has been transferred to the city of Tobruk.

The transfer of the session came after an attack by a group of gunmen on the HoR’s HQ in Benghazi where the ministers of the Government of National Unity were scheduled to take the constitutional oath.

According to a source from Benghazi, the wounded gunmen within the ranks of Haftar’s forces were behind the attack, as they are demanding financial dues.

Earlier, they also attacked the Central Bank of Libya in Benghazi and blocked a number of roads before their sit-in was forcibly dispersed.
