The Vice President of the General Federation of Egyptian Trade Unions, Magdy Al-Badawi, said that approximately one million Egyptian laborers are expected to arrive in Libya in the near future, according to an agreement with the Government of National Unity (GNU).

Al-Badawi said in a statement to Egyptian media that the number of workers due to head to Libya is set to increase, reaching approximately three million in total in the long term.

He pointed out that the construction and building trade will be amongst those most in-demand, as Libya greatly needs to rebuild its cities and towns, which will considerably reduce the unemployment rate within Egypt, as he put it.
