The head of the Gas and Fuel Distribution Office in Brega Oil Marketing Company, Milad Al-Hajrisi, said that the company had appealed to the Ministries of Interior and Defence to secure the fuel trucks on the road from Misrata oil depot to Sabha in southern Libya.

In a press statement, Al-Hajrisi said that after being unable to use Misrata-Sabha route, a consignment of fuel is underway to be delivered through an alternative road from Tripoli to Zawiya and on to Sabha depot.

He pointed out that the fuel crisis in the south could be resolved within 5 days if the shipment was to depart from Misrata depot, while from Tripoli the process will extend to 15 days.
