The United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) said that the use of explosive weapons, including artillery and aerial bombardments in populated areas, has resulted in 129 civilian casualties, including 29 fatalities.

The OCHA clarified in its report that more than 75 thousand people have been displaced since last April as a result of the armed clashes.

It also called on all conflicting parties to abide by international humanitarian law and take all possible measures to protect civilians, urging not to use heavy weapons in residential areas, due to the devastating impact of such weapons on civilians.
