The Mayor of Awjila Municipality met Monday with a coalition of renewable energy companies to review the possibility of establishing and activating solar plants in the town.
The discussion included how to take advantage of the natural resources in Awjila and to incorporate it into the Municipal Council project of the spatial development of the town.
The participants agreed to hold more future meetings in order to address the presentations proposed by the private companies group and means to make them operational, in addition to avail themselves of its services in terms of energies, staffing, and investment.
The coalition of renewable energy companies group is regarded as a bridge of communication between the private sector and the Libyan municipalities for the development of energies.
