The US Ambassador to Libya, Richard Norland has emphasized the importance of paying public sector salaries and financing the National Center for Disease Control and Municipalities urgently, to maintaining the health of all Libyans.

This came during a telephone conversation with the Libyan Finance Minister, Faraj Boumtari, on Tuesday, according to the US embassy's Facebook page.

The US ambassador welcomed what he described "attempts to improve coordination between key economic actors in the country, to maintain the government's focus on the health crisis, with respect to the corona epidemic".
