The United States Ambassador to Libya, Richard Norland, arrived in Cairo to hold discussions in Hurghada on security in Libya.

Norland offered his appreciation to Egypt for hosting the talks, which included representatives of the Government of National Accord (GNA) and others from Haftar’s side.

He said in a tweet published by the US Embassy on Sunday that he would continue the talks during his visit to Cairo, adding, “We will exchange views on the most effective method to support the upcoming Libyan political dialogue forum”.
