The United States Ambassador to Libya, Richard Norland, vehemently condemned the bombing at the roundabout of Souq Al-Thulata on Tuesday, which killed five innocent civilians and seriously injured a young child.

Norland, in discussions with the Vice-President of the Presidential Council (PC), Ahmed Miteeq talked about the prospect of returning to the 5 + 5 meetings, indicating that dialogue is open to all Libyan parties and officials who are ready to lay down their arms.

The ambassador expressed his disapproval and rejection of all foreign intervention in the country. For his part, Miteeq stressed the need for continued support by the United States to the economic dialogue, to ensure the success of the proposed economic reforms program.
