President of the National Oil Corporation (NOC), Mustafa Sanallah said Thursday that Sharara oil field will remain closed until the full implementation of the reforms related to the Petroleum Facilities Guard in the southern region.
“The NOC is working hard to implement the agreed security measures in the field, in order to resume operations and production as soon as possible,” Sanallah explained, demanding that the institution be allowed to carry out its duty without impediment.
He also emphasized the NOC's commitment to continue efforts to generate the required funds, in order to ensure equitable distribution of wealth and economic justice throughout the country.
