The National Oil Corporation (NOC) said that foreign oil companies had begun re-assessing security following the clashes that broke out in Tripoli, and took precautionary measures to reduce their presence in Libya.

The Director of Security and Safety Service at the company Khaled Abu Khutwa, explained Monday, that if these companies depart, it will be difficult to convince foreign maintenance companies to resume work in Libya.

He added that the armed clashes near the oil installations and sites in Tripoli caused large losses, and its maintenance can be expensive and time consuming, referring to the damage caused to the reservoir 122 in the Airport Road that contains diesel, causing the leakage of a large amount of fuel from the reservoir.
