A team from the National Oil Corporation (NOC) visited the port of Ras Lanuf to assess the damage caused to the oil tanks after clashes in the region over the past few days.

The team, which was headed by the director of the General Administration of Health, Safety and Security at the National Oil Corporation, praised the efforts made by the fire and maintenance teams to extinguish the fires in all tanks in the Ras Lanuf installation, after tanks 2 and 12 were severely damaged.

The firefighters were able to rescue tanks 5 and 6, so that the oil exportation can be continued soon, says the head of the NOC team.
