The National Oil Corporation (NOC), returned the flow of gas exports from Libya to Italy on Monday after they were suspended due to technical problems.

The NOC stated that exports were halted following a disruption in the gas supply from a line running from the Sabratha marine platform to the Melitah complex. Gas flows resumed to normal levels after a four-hour halt.

The National Oil Corporation stopped the flow of gas through the Green Stream line to Italy and redirected all quantities of gas produced to Libyan power plants to maintain the stability of the public electricity network after a sudden lack of gas supply effected the Libyan electricity network`s output.
