The National Oil Corporation (NOC) has welcomed the report of UN Panel of Experts on Libya.
In its statement, the NOC stated its full support for the panel's recommendations on the need to end what it described as the prevailing climate of impunity and the brutal behaviour of armed groups, which lead to the seizure of state funds and the deterioration of institutions and infrastructure.
The UN Panel of Experts had issued economic recommendations, the most important of which is to expand the scope of measures by authorizing member states and their organizations to inspect vessels on the high seas that are believed to be illegally exporting crude oil.
