The National Oil Corporation (NOC) and Brega Company disclosed Wednesday, that they have filed a complaint with the Presidential Council (PC), where they bared the responsibility for the fuel crisis in Greater Tripoli, Mount Nafusa, and the southern region, to the fuel distribution companies.

According to the complaint, which was published by the NOC, the four distribution companies, Rahila, Sharara, Libya Oil, and the Highway Services did not take their share of fuel during Eid al-Adha period, between August 10 and 13, which is estimated at 15 million litres of fuel, explaining that the mentioned companies had only distributed around 6 million and 54 thousand litres of fuel, which is equivalent to about 40% of its shares.

The NOC and Brega Company demanded the PC to open an investigation into the failure of the distribution companies to perform their duties, stressing their attachment to make fuel available in all filling stations.
