The Russian Foreign Ministry has stated that a military solution in Libya is not feasible.
The ministry's spokeswoman, Maria Zakharova said that the inability of either party to the conflict in Libya to win the battle clearly indicates the futility of attempts to resolve the conflict by military means, according to the Russian Foreign Ministry's website.
Zakharova described the situation in Libya as "adverse", warning of furthering the circle of clashes.
She demanded that all parties immediately return to the negotiating table, in order to find ways out of the crisis and to ensure Libya's unity and territorial integrity.
