Alwahat Police in charge of agriculture protection confirmed on Tuesday that they have managed to eliminate approximately 50% of the locust swarms attacking the district.
According to the Information Office of the Police, Alwahat district is suffering from a lack of pesticides to control locusts, and the district has not received any support from the governments or neighboring cities to counter the locust invasion on farms and crops in the region, pointing out that they are facing the locust swarms with limited local efforts.
