The Civil Aviation Authority decided Monday to stop the air traffic at Mitiga Airport six hours a day for security reasons.

According to the orders addressed to the aviation companies by the head of the Civil Aviation Authority Nasruddin Shaib al-Ain, flights to and from Mitiga Airport from one o'clock am to seven o'clock am will be halted.

Shaib al-Ain requested the airline companies to comply with the orders and to alter flight schedules according to the timing noted.

The airport has been under night shelling by unknown attackers, which has caused closure of the airport for several times.
