Three teams from Libya; Al-Sweihli, Al-Ahli Benghazi and Asarya, will partake in the 36th African Clubs Volleyball Competition, which is going to be hosted by Tunisian EST starting next Friday and will last for 10 days. 22 teams will play in the competition in four groups.

The Spokesperson for the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights: Ravina Shamdasani, said Dignity Operation forces detained more than 100 persons, among whom there were 13-year-olds, when they stormed into the oil crescent region, adding that the detainees were beaten and offended and they were forced to remain in areas unknown to their families. The ohchr added that they are concerned about the violations at the fighting at the oil crescent region, including the illegal killings, hostage and captive holding, as well as torture in Benghazi, Ajdabiya, Brega and Besher cities and towns.

Unidentified group broke into Al-Nabaa TV channel's building in Tripoli last night and set it ablaze. Social media pages circulated a number of photos showing the building of Al-NabaaTV on fire. The TV went off-the-air for the first hours of Wednesday morning. Al-Nabaa TV's building was previously targeted and suffered a great damage when armed groups attacked it last April.

Janzour-based Mobile Force denied taking part in the clashes that are ongoing in western Tripoli blocks since Tuesday, saying it is very concerned about the current armed violent clashes in Hay Al-Andalus municipality. It stressed that is not a part of the clashes and is supporting none of the parties involved in them, saying that since it has been formed, it has not conducted any action outside its HQ in Janzour.

Media unit of the Education Bureau in Derna held "Little Journalist" Contest for the city's schools aiming at spotting and developing the talents of the pupils, who gave news bulletins and interviews on the stage in front of the judges who work in the media field.

Tripoli Central Municipality urged Wednesday all public and private schools at the areas of the clashes in the capital to shut down and ask students to remain at home until the security tension calms down. Since Tuesday, Tripoli has been undergoing armed clashes between armed groups in the western blocks of the capital.

Ambassadors of France, UK, Italy, and the US expressed profound concern about the growing violence at the oil crescent region. In a joint statement, they called for an end to the fighting in there so that Libya can avoid having its oil sector's infrastructure damaged. They added that the oil facilities must be under the supervision and protection of the National Oil Corporation alone as per the UN Security Council's resolutions.
