Environment Protection Association warned of swimming on Tripoli’s beaches after reports about sea water samples were proven contaminated. The association said Tripoli’s beaches from Tajoura to Janzour have become landfills for the industrial waste, hospital litter, and the human waste that pumps into the sea through sewage pipelines, which amount to 250 that are directly pouring into the sea as there’s no proper sewage filtering system in Libya.

Security sources from Murziq said Wednesday that the Head of the Civil Registry Office in the city, Ahmed Salheen, and the office’s mandate, Musa Al-Tumi, were killed and their bodies were found on the highway after being kidnapped on Monday from their workplace by an unidentified armed group.

Tripoli-based Al-Ahli lost the chance to qualify for the semifinals of the CAF Confederation Cup after it lost against the Tunisian Al-Najem Al-Sahli 0-1 on Tuesday as part of the fourth round matches of the second group at Zueitin Stadium in Tunis.

The military commander of the eastern region, Abdelraziq Al-Nadori, who was appointed by the Torbuk-based House of Representatives, issued a military order that bans demonstrations inside Benghazi city without prior permission from him.

Libyan News Agency of Al-Thanni government reported that Al-Nadori ordered a ban on all kinds of demonstrations that do not have an official, hand-written permit from him, adding that he vowed to hold those who violate this order accountable.

The Chairman of the National Oil Corporation in Tripoli, Mustafa Sanallah, said Libya is heading toward bankruptcy due to Ibrahim Jodran's closure of ports, adding that the Presidential Council is courting him and neglecting major oil companies such as the Arabian Gulf Oil Company. Sanalllah added that  Jodran threatened last June to destroy any tanker that would approach the occupied ports without his approval, so "Jodran's Petroleum Facilities Guard is a group of militiamen." He said denouncing Kobler's visit to him and saying it was a violation of Libyan laws.
