13 fighters from Defend Benghazi Brigades were killed in foreign airstrikes in east Libya on Wednesday; 3 days after 2 French troops were killed in a helicopter downing. Sources close to DBB said the airstrikes were conducted by French warplanes in Jilidiya district, 60 km east of Ajdabiya.

Three French troops have been killed in #Libya, the French Defense Ministry confirmed today. The French troops were killed in the shooting down of a Dignity Operation's helicopter in Al-Magroun district in western Benghazi.

Al-Jumhoriya Bank confirmed Wednesday that Derna's branch General Director, Rafea Belhassouna, has been released after being arrested in Lebrag airport when he returned from Tripoli a month ago along with a bank clerk as he was possessing cash worth 5 million dinars allocated by the Central Bank of Libya for Derna branch.

Libya’s Audit Bureau demanded that the Central Bank of Libya stop all clearing processes for Trade and Development checks for the time being until all of the transactions are reviewed, pointing out that there are some dubious and corruption cases among them. The Audit Bureau says such checks might have help devalue the Libyan dinar, ordering stopping dealing with them until the suspicious cases are singled out and brought to justice.

Libyan footballer Tareq Taieb, who took slain Gaddafi's side in 2011, has returned to the eastern city of Tobruk after 5 years in exile. Taieb is from Tripoli.
