UN-proposed Presidency Council strongly condemned Dignity Operation attack on Taminhint Airport in Sabha on Wednesday. It said in a statement that the attack undermines peace and stability of the country and could trigger a civil war. The council confirmed it had ordered its forces to repel the attackers.

The Chief of Al-Khums Passports Investigation Department, Marwan Beshish, was killed in gun shooting in Al-Khums on Tuesday. According to local sources, Beshish was quarreling with two people in the city before he was shot dead. The chief of the city's military council, Mustafa Sultan, denied closing the coastal road over the incident.

Italian Ambassador, Giuseppe Perrone, has arrived in Tobruk today on a formal visit to eastern government. Giuseppe Perrone is scheduled to meet with the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Aqilah Saleh to discuss the latest political issues in the country.

Security forces in Al-Rayan district, southwestern Tripoli, have seized about 145 pieces of hashish drug worth 750.000 Libyan dinars. The forces said the drugs will be then handed over to the relevant authorities for other procedures.

The Head of the UNSMIL, Martin Kobler, met with the Speaker of the House of Representatives (HoR) Aqilah Saleh, discussed the HoR decision to return to the dialogue table. On his Facebook page, Kobler said Saleh and he agreed to focus on appointing a committee from the HoR to be engaged in the dialogue again.
