The Arts Gallery that is under the name “Dawaya” is continuing in Tripoli for the fourth day and is expected to lock doors on October 26. The gallery, which is held at Hussein Al-Faqih Salon, saw participations by several artists presenting a number of artworks and paintings. The participants included Ashraf Swisi, Mohammed Al-Kharoubi, Radwan Al-Zanati, Ahmed Talha, Ahmed Al-Barouni, Taqwa Barnousa.

The Head of the Presidential Council Fayez Al-Sirraj accredited the Spanish ambassador to Libya Francisco de Miguel in the presence of the Foreign Minister, Mohammed Sayala at the Prime Ministry headquarters in Tripoli. Miguel said that Spain supports the efforts of the Presidential Council in achieving stability in Libya and that it looks forward to boosting joint relations and cooperation. Al-Sirraj said he looked forward to the reopening of the Spanish embassy in Tripoli as soon as possible, saying it would have positive effects in improving relations between the two countries.

Al-Tahadi team qualified to the four-team round after beating Shabab Al-Jabal 2-1 on Monday at Benina Martyrs Stadium in Benghazi at the pre-final round for the second group of the Libyan Soccer League. Wessam Bukatif scored first then Al-Tahadi tied it from a penalty at the minute 58 by Amer Al-Tawerghy before Taha Al-Sharif had scored the winning goal at the minute 72 to make his team reach 15 points and thus qualify for the next round that qualifies for the 2018 CAF Champions League.

The rapporteur of the National Committee for Human Rights in Libya (NCHRL) Ahmed Hamza said thy had documented violations and crimes in the migrants’ centers of the Illegal Immigration Fighting Center in Tripoli and Sabratha, adding that the decision to shut down the centers by the Head of the Illegal Immigration Fighting Center is just ink on paper as they are still operating. He also stressed that there should be coordination with the source countries to help secure the borders. He also added that Rome did not work on implementing the agreement signed with Libya in the field of fighting illegal immigration.

The Archaeology Authority of Libya has ended the training course it started at the end of last September at the Louvre in cooperation with the French Embassy. The museums administration training course that took one month saw the participation of six Libyan researchers, who were introduced to the rudiments of the museums administration as well as the security of such cultural places.

The Libyan national volleyball team beat Monday Ghana 3-2 at the African Volleyball Championship that is hosted by Egypt. Libya lost the first match to Tunisia 2-3.

Libyan Football Federation (LFF) has accepted the invitation of the Council for East and Central Africa Football Associations (CECAFA) to participate in the friendly challenge tournament in Kenya’s capital between 25/11 and 9/12 with 12 teams. The tournament is part of the preparations of the Libyan team to take part in CHAN in Morocco next year.
