The Libyan Foreign Ministry announced Monday that Delegation of the European Union to Libya will soon resume work from Tripoli after over three years since it had left following the clashes in the capital in 2014.

The Head of the High National Elections Commission (HNEC) Emad Al-Sayeh said there are technical issues that need to be solved before going into elections in 2018 in Libya. Al-Sayeh said in a meeting with the Head of the UN-brokered Presidential Council Fayez Al-Sirraj in Tripoli that the electoral committee needs the assistance of the international expertise so it can be ready to hold such a privilege as the elections and the referendum for the constitution. Al-Sirraj said that his government will provide the needed support for the HNEC so it can do its job professionally and transparently.

On Facebook, Benina airport administration said the airport could be closed over the overlap of duties and disrespect among the security apparatuses regarding the instructions of the airport security department. Reuters reported a source from the oil industry in Libya that the sea oilfield Aljrf Alqary has been reopened after the end of service works, saying that the resumption started last week and the production returned to 30 to 35 thousand barrels per day.

The head of the public relations office in Salam Charity and Relief in Bani Walid Haithem Ben Lama, said they buried 7 unidentified bodies for illegal immigrants on Monday in the cemetery that is allocated for the immigrants. He added that all the graves were used for the bodies of the migrants and there was no space left for more bodies.

CEO of the General Electricity Company of Libya (GECOL) Ali Sassi confirmed Monday to the advisor at the South Korean embassy that security is prevailing in the west Tripoli power plant, Khalij Sirte power plant, and Zueitina power plant, assuring the Korean firms that there are no fears for them to continue work in their locations. He added that they doubling up security measures before the return of the Korean workers to resume work.

Over 250 thousand children were vaccinated in the national vaccination campaign of polio, said Tripoli Medical Services Department, adding that over 130 thousand children took vaccines against measles, rubella, and mumps in the Greater Tripoli area. The campaign lasted 10 days and after it Libya will be completely free of measles disease, the officials added.

Commander of Brigade 30 – Al-Hashmi Ramadan - which is securing Sharara oilfield said they retrieved two vehicles, which were stolen in an armed robbery on Monday. Ramadan told Anadolu Agency that the robbery took place on Monday morning but now the field is in good security conditions.
