The Libyan Football Federation has agreed to the request made by their Jordanian counterpart to play a friendly match at the Jordanian capital Amman against the Jordanian national team. The game is set be played on the 25th of December, one week after the end of Libya's participation in the international friendly tournament, to be held in Kenya from the 3rd to the 17th of December. The match comes as part of Libya's preparations for the African Nations Championship (CHAN), which will be held in Morocco next year.

Member of House of Representatives (HoR), Ziyad Daghim, , called on the members of the parliament to elect a president for the country and activate the constitutional declaration before the end of next February if no agreement is reached on the 17th of December session with the High Council of State (HCS). Daghim added in a press statement that his proposed election process must be held by the HoR with a majority of MPs present, as he anticipates that not enough representatives from all regions will participate in the electoral process. Daghim also accused the head of the United Nations Support Mission in Libya, Ghassan Salame, of disrupting the dialogue and Libyan efforts to reach a consensus.

France announced on Monday that the meeting of the Security Council regarding what they described as human trafficking in Libya, will be held on Tuesday. The French Foreign Ministry said in a statement on Monday that the meeting of the Security Council, which France had called for, will be chaired by Italy. Last week, Paris called on its Foreign Minister, Jean-Yves Laudrian, to convene an emergency session of the Security Council after the release of media reports depicting human trafficking in Libya.

Cloud News Agency "Ghaima" has reported that the armed group that kidnapped the doctor, Salem al-Salhab, who is a surgery specialist at the Sabha Medical Centre, released him Monday evening after being kidnapped for 12 days. The doctors and staff of the Sabha Medical Center issued a statement on the 19th of November stating that they would suspend all work at the center until their kidnapped colleague was returned.

The Chairman of the Presidential Council, Fayez Sarraj, issued a directive on Monday to re-activate the port of Khoms. Sarraj also promised to allocate funds directly to Khoms Municipality to solve other problems with certain facilities through the relevant ministries and state institutions. The directive came after Sarraj hosted meetings with members of both the House of Representatives and the High Council of State who represent Khoms city as well as the Khoms Municipal Council members. The delegation presented demands relating to various service sectors and the maintenance and equipping of vital facilities, particularly the education and health sectors, from drinking water to upgrading the University Hospital and supporting the city's Security Directorate.

According to the official website of the eastern government, a delegation from the self-proclaimed leaders of Cyrenaica threatened to close down oil fields from the region of the western Alahmar (Red) Valley to Emsaad in the east and Kufra down south, unless their demands are met within two months. After meetings that were held by the chairman of the eastern government, Abdulla Thinni, the delegation demanded the relocation of the National Oil Corporation and Central Bank of Libya to Benghazi as well as the inclusion of rights of the region in the new constitution. The website added that the delegation also called for the transfer of the Office of Sustainable Development to oil production regions, and to insure that oil companies implement their commitments to meet the demands of the Municipality of Jikharra.

The Chairman of the Presidential Council, Fayez Sarraj, held talks with the African Union Commissioner for Social Affairs, Amira ElFadil, in Tripoli on Monday. ElFadil stressed the readiness of the African Commission to support the government in Libya in providing better care for migrants, and to detect smugglers and traffickers wherever they are, inside or outside Libya. For his part, Sarraj stressed the keenness of his government to strengthen their relations with the African Union. He pointed out that recent media outlets that depicted the ill-treatment of migrants on Libyan territory should and will be investigated by the relevant authorities, adding that these actions are carried out by individuals and does not represent the morals or standards of the Libyan people and their tolerant Islamic religion.

Unknown persons set Shiekha Radiya mosque on fire in Sidi Khalifa in Tripoli on Tuesday early morning. According to the residents, the fire broke late at night before dawn and the unknown persons targeted the zawiya of the mosque and the hall that are used for Sufism ceremonies. It is highly likely that the ones who set the mosque ablaze are followers of Salafism and Madkhalism and aimed the fire as a message to the Sufism followers as a ban for the upcoming ceremonies of the Mawlid of Prophet Mohammed on Thursday.
