Egyptian military special forces, backed by military intelligence and other forces, are currently involved in military preparations for Khalifa Haftar's forces to attack Derna city, eastern Libya, and have it under Dignity Operation control, The New Arab - an Egyptian opposition website - reported Tuesday.

Several members who suspended attending the sessions of the Tobruk-based House of Representatives (HoR) said the Speaker, Aqilah Saleh, violated the internal work codes of the HoR and has had power only to himself.

So-called the Special Operation Force, a militia from Zintan led by Emad Trabilsi, said on Monday it will escort Tripoli IDPs back to their homes within the next few days, sparking fear of renewed clashes in the capital.

First Deputy of High Council of State (HCS), Mohammed Baqi, met with the Head of UNSMIL, Martin Kobler on Monday in the presence of LPA amendment committee in Tripoli. The committee members criticized the UNSMIL's performance and blamed it for the delay of achieving accord in Libya between HoR and HCS. Baqi also denounced Egyptian airstrikes on Derna, saying such violations are going to undermine the efforts for dialogue, warning of their bad influence on Egypt-Libya relations.

The Head of Al-Watan Party, Abdelhakim Belhaj, refuted rumors of media outlets that said he was arrested by Turkish authorities, saying he is in Istanbul to hold meetings with different diplomats and politicians about the Libyan current crisis, urging for dialogue and for commitment to the LPA.

Pro-Dignity Operation sources said the commander of Brigade 12, Mohammed Ben Nayel, delivered his resignation for Khalifa Haftar, who accepted it and replaced him by Brig. Gen. Al-Hadi Othman.

Official at Benghazi University said the service teams and technicians managed to restore the damaged electric network at most of the university's faculties, adding that study will be resumed in all faculties next September.

Madar Al-Jadeed mobile network company said it had resumed work on creating Madar Park 1 and 2 in Derna downtown. The media office of company said it is a social responsibility to resume the project that was kicked off in 2013.

Turkish company's engineers, who are working in Ubari power station, started the last stage of the fuel pipeline from Sharara oilfield to the stations in cooperation with Acacus Company, which is operating the oilfield.

National Oil Corporation (NOC) said Spanish Copmany, Repsol, devised a comprehensive plan to step up production and support sustainable development projects and training programs in the areas where it operates. NOC's CEO Mustafa Sanallah met with the regional CEO of Repsol, Thomas Garcia, and discussed securing oil production zones, modernizing security procedures and other proposals.

Brega Oil Company said it is attempting to transfer certain amount of fuel from Zawiya oil stock to Sabha's. The general director of the company's southern and western operations said the transfer will go on until an extra storage capacity is created in southern region, adding that fuel transfers were ceased over the last period due to lack of security.
