The Minister of Interior of the Presidential Council, Abdul Salam Ashour, took part in a meeting held by the Minister of Local Government to bring together the heads of fuel distribution companies, Brega Oil Marketing Company and the mayors of southern municipalities to discuss ways of securing the transfer of fuel supplies from Tripoli depots to all regions of the south. The Information Office of the Ministry of Interior said that the Presidential Council is keen to provide full support to all security departments to secure the transport of fuel from Tripoli to the regions of the south to help alleviate the suffering of the people of those areas. It is worth noting that the southern Libyan fuel crisis began when armed gangs seized fuel trucks destined for the south and smuggled them out of the country. The government has so far failed to secure the roads.

The African Union Chairperson's special Envoy for Libya, Amira El-Fadil, said that the joint AU-EU working group to address the issues of illegal immigration in Libya will end its work by the end of May. Fadil also said in a press statement that both the AU and EU met in the Ethiopian capital last week and discussed efforts to address illegal migration. She confirmed that the group succeeded in repatriating 14,000 migrants to their countries and about 2,000 refugees to a third country, adding that they also succeeded in closing 18 shelters for migrants in Libya in cooperation with the Libyan government.

The Head of Murzuk General Hospital, Mohammed Wamer, said that the hospital is suffering from a shortage of medical staff and a lack of materials. Wamer explained that the hospital has been receiving patients continuously since the start of the clashes in Sabha, whose injuries vary between mild to critical, noting that some lost their lives because of the lack of facilities and specialized doctors. He added that since the beginning of March, the hospital has received 6 dead bodies, including two children and one woman, while the wounded reached 24. Murzuk General Hospital receives patients from the Tabu tribe and some Sabha residents who are injured and cannot reach Sabha Medical Center, some130 kilometers away from Murzuk.

The Education Office in Sabha has postponed the start of second school semester to next Sunday due to the deterioration of the security situation in the city and the location of some schools in the sites of clashes. Some families have also been displaced and unable to bring their children to school after fleeing the clashes. The clashes have already led to the deaths and injuries of tens of civilians in addition to the displacement of dozens of families. It is worth noting that many schools in the country did not resume the study for the second semester due to the strike announced by the General Teachers’ Union to demand an increase in salaries.

The Interior Minister, Abdul Salam Ashour, has met with the French Ambassador to Libya, Brigitte Curmi, at the ministry's headquarters in Tripoli. The ministry’s Information Office said Ashour reviewed with Curmi the security situation in Tripoli, and called on all embassies to return and resume their work in the capital. Ashour also discussed the illegal immigration and the security problems it caused to neighboring and Mediterranean countries. For her part, Curmi expressed her country's desire to consolidate relations between the two countries, especially in the areas of security.

The High Council of State (HCS) has condemned the armed clashes in the city of Sabha and called on the Presidential Council to shoulder its responsibilities and take practical steps to achieve security in the southern region, including the appointment of a commander of the southern military zone and the provision of services to the people of the South. In a regular meeting on Monday, The HCS reviewed the three proposals it had adopted on the amendment of the political agreement and referred it to the United Nations Support Mission in Libya and the House of Representatives to respond to it as soon as possible and reach a consensus on it. The HCS also discussed the criteria for holding sovereign positions and foreign military interventions in Libya.

The High National Elections Commission (HNEC) said registering voters abroad to continue till the end of March via personal applications in Libyan embassies. The HNEC added that the online system has been shut down with 6.267 voters so far. The HNEC also added that because of the little number of voters abroad and due to some hindrances that Libyan overseas might have faced, it will continue registering voters by personal applications in Libyan embassies, adding that the application form can be downloaded online.
