The Ambassadors of France, the United Kingdom and the United States have strongly condemned the escalation of violence in the oil crescent and called for an immediate ceasefire. ‎In a joint statement on Monday, the Ambassadors recalled the urgent need for a unified national military force under civilian command in order to preserve the security and prosperity of all Libyans.

Derna Shura Council released a video on Monday showing their forces just near the exterior walls of Jamal Abdul-Nasir Airbase in Tobruk. Head of the council’s media office Mohammed Al-Mansouri said one of their brigades managed to penetrate into Tobruk in an attempt to explode Dignity Operation warplanes inside the airbase, but they retreated after discovering the airbase was empty.

Head of the Presidential Council of the UN-proposed government, Fayez Al-Sirraj, met in Tripoli on Monday with a delegation from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Netherlands comprising the Directorate-General for International Cooperation Christiann Rebergen and Head of Maghreb, Egypt and Middle East Department Frank Keurhorst, in addition to Ambassador Eric Strating. The meeting discussed joint cooperation, the political deadlock and migrants’ crisis.

The Presidential Guard (PG) of the General National Congress has declared that 2 of its fighters were killed in a drive-by shooting while guarding one of its locations in Riyadiya district of Tripoli on Monday. The PG mourned the 2 victims and promised in a statement that it would exert all efforts to bring the killers to justice.

Spokesperson of Al-Bunyan Al-Marsoos Operation Brig. Mohammed Al-Gosri has denied involvement of their forces in the ongoing military operations in the oil crescent region. He said the operation will take a legal action against the parties which accused them of involvement.

Commanders of Al-Bunyan Al-Marsoos Operation have expressed dismay and anger over the absence of state role in establishing peace in Sirte and bringing life back to normal. The commanders demanded in a statement on Monday the state to intervene to support Sirte Police Directorate and provide basic services to local residents such as cleaning, water and electricity.

The Chief of Dignity Operation Air Force Saqir Al-Jaroshi has been admitted to hospital with a heart attack, Arraed TV reported on Monday, adding he is now in critical health condition.

The Special Deterrence Force has arrested two Central bank of Libya staffers for intentionally disabling the bank’s foreign exchange system, leading to a one-day disruption of all foreign currency transactions in all banks of the country. One of the arrested staffers said he had done this to force the bank to revoke a decision to move him to another branch.

East-based Islamic Affair authority of the Interim Government of Abdullah Al-Thanni has called all mosques in the eastern region to hold Qunoot prayers to make supplication to God to help Khalifa Haftar’s forces defeat Benghazi Defense Brigades.

Speaker of House of Representatives Aqailah Saleh met on Monday with a delegation from the British House of Commons. According to HoR media office, both sides discussed oil crescent incidents and lifting ban on weapons sale to Khalifa Haftar’s self-styled Libyan National Army. The British delegation promised to improve ties with the House of Representatives and its military and civilian institutions, according to office.

Oil vessel, Besirimous, left Zuetina oil terminal on Monday after loading oil. The Liberia-flagged vessel headed to China with 509 thousand oil barrels. The terminal's media office said another vessel Asian Myth will arrive in Zueitina terminal on Tursday to ship 500 thousand barrels of crude oil to China.
