Member of the Presidential Council, Ahmed Mitig discussed with HoR member for Zawiya city, Abdullah Al-Lafi, the city's mayor Najib Al-Bashit and Shura, and elders council's head the latest unrest in the city. The officials told Mitig to urge the government to provide more support for the problems in the city on all levels, calling for speeding up municipal elections and taking care of police and army institutions.

The official at the Brega oil marketing company Fouad Arhim urged southern mayors to secure the road for the truck drivers that will be delivering fuel and gas. The call comes after 15 tank trucks of Brega company were stolen by outlaws nearby Brak Al-Shati.

UNSC extends restrictions on smuggling arms to Libya by sea
The United Nations Security Council has extended the ban on smuggling arms to Libya by sea routes, approving an EU unit to be tasked to intercept any dubious ships moving toward Libya for another year to come. EU Operation Sophia was also tasked with new missions, namely; to stop and inspect ships in the international waters if they were believed to be smuggling arms to Libya.

An armed group in Benghazi abducted Haftar's advisor, Mohammed Al-Madani four days ago, with some news saying that two cars from the general command tucked him in, but the general command denied them. No party claimed the abduction for Al-Madani, who is a university professor who left Tripoli to go pledge support for Haftar and become his advisor.

UN-proposed government's Local Governing Minister Badad Gansu has dismissed Sabha mayor Hamid Al-Khayali without giving reasons for the decisions. Earlier, four municipal members resigned over lack of transparency in the council and monopoly of decisions.

Al-Ahi Tripoli is traveling to Tunisia on Wednesday to train before playing a friendly match against Sakra on Thursday then continuing training in Sfax city to play Zimbabwean CAPS United F.C.on Friday as part of the fourth round of CAF Champions League. Al-Ahli won 4-2 against CAPS United F.C. at the third round.

The UN Secretary General, António Guterres, will discuss at the UN Security Council the appointment of a new envoy to Libya to replace Martin Kobler. The choice will be one of four- Ismail Ould al-Sheikh, the current UN delegate to Yemen, former Lebanese minister Ghassan Salama, Jamal Ben Omar; the former envoy to Yemen, and former Red Cross official, Phillip Spore.
