Brega Oil Marketing Company said that a fire broke out in a fuel transport pipeline between Tripoli and Zawiya refinery. The company explained that fuel is available in the company's depots with large quantities and that supply operations are proceeding normally, insisting that rumours about fuel shortages due to the fire are totally unfounded. It added that the explosion of the pipeline happened near Joudaim district, northeast of Zawiya city, in a farmer’s farm who said to be ploughing the land causing leakage of fuel. The fire was fully controlled and the incident did not result in any casualties, the company confirmed, adding that the pipeline will be running again soon.

The Director of the Information Office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Tripoli, Ahmed Al-Arbad, said that Libya has started addressing the problems that hinder the return of Turkish companies in the country. Al-Arbad explained in a press statement that the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mohamed Sayala, held discussions with the Turkish side during The Libya-Turkey Investment and Development Conference kicked off in Istanbul last Saturday on ways to facilitate the resumption of operations of Turkish companies in Libya. Sayala explained that the reopening of the Turkish Embassy in Tripoli and the resumption of Turkish Airlines flights will contribute to the return of companies to Libya and the completion of projects suspended since 2011.

The Minister of Health in the Presidential Council government, Omar Bashir, said that he gave instructions to provide the hospitals in the south with all essential needs, including medicines, equipment and other medical supplies that are immediately required. The Information Office of the Ministry of Health clarified through its Facebook Monday that Bashir chaired an expanded meeting Sunday in the presence of directors of hospitals located in the southern region to assess the needs of health centres in the south. The meeting is part of the ministry's plan, which aims to provide the most urgent needs for all sections of hospitals, and to support it with human resources, in addition to carrying out electromechanical works in order to enable public hospitals to operate at full capacity.

The UN envoy to Libya, Ghassan Saleme, held a meeting in Tripoli Monday with the Mayor of Misrata Mustafa Kawad, and members of the municipal council Isma'il al-Hashemi and Ali Busta to discuss the Tawergha IDPs crisis and their return to their town. On its Facebook page, The UN mission clarified that Saleme agreed with the officials of Misrata on three principles, which included not to reopen discussions on Misrata-Tawergha agreement, the right of IDPs to return swiftly, and that temporary camps should not become permanent, noting that they have agreed on a safe and dignified return for the IDPs.

The head of the Medical Convoys Committee at the Ministry of Health, Ashraf Aburoqba, confirmed the arrival of a medical team composed of 30 doctors from all specialties to the city of Sirte in order to conduct medical examinations. The program is in the framework of the World Health Organization plan that had been prepared in advance. Aburoqba stated that the Sirte Outpatients Center will open its doors daily from 8 am to 12 pm, noting that in the coming period the team will tend towards 10 cities in the south to offer medical checkups for a continuous 6-month period.

The Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture in Misrata said that it is preparing for a family shopping festival in the city, which will be sponsored by public and private sectors. The Misrata Municipal Council welcomed the idea and encouraged the families from all parts of Libya to participate in this event. The Municipal Council called locals of Misrata, and the institutions in the city, to fully cooperate and join hands with the organizers in order to give a positive image of the city in terms of development and trade.

The spokesperson of Sabha Medical Center, Osama Al-Wafi, confirmed that the hospital received body of a man who fell victim to an indiscriminate shooting during the ongoing clashes in the city. In a briefing on Monday, Al-Wafi said that the Centre declared a state of emergency as a result of the clashes that hampered the arrival of medical and paramedical personnel to the center and had its substantial effect on the treatment of patients. Sabha Medical Center announced earlier the transfer of all cases in the paediatric and internal medicine departments to other wards to ensure the safety of patients, after the center was caught up in the random clashes, which resulted in a number of injuries.

The Deputy Director of the Intelligence and Security Service of Sudan, Jalal al-Din al-Tayeb, accused the rebel movements in his country of being involved in crimes of human trafficking, smuggling, murder, looting, and in recruiting children to fight as mercenaries in Libya. In a speech at a meeting on illegal immigration held in Khartoum, he called for the need to further cooperate, coordinate and exchange information in order to achieve security and establish the principles of justice in a number of African countries, pointing out that illegal immigration and criminal gangs associated with trafficking in human beings is affecting the security and stability in Africa.

The Head of the Presidential Council Fayez Al-Sirraj met on Tuesday with the Minister of Planning Al-Taher Al-Jahimi, Minister of Finance, Osama Hamad, and the Chairman of the National Oil Corporation, Mustafa Sanallah to review the Libyan economic and financial conditions. Al-Sirraj's media office reported that the meeting discussed the NOC budget and financial preparations for 2018 and the necessary funds for the NOC to be able to boost oil production and exports so it helps improve Libya's financial and economic conditions, not to mention that such steps would drop the rates of deficit in the country's budget.
