The Presidential Council of the UN-proposed government should provide the necessary support for the forces appointed to secure Sirte and for the city’s municipality so that they can provide the needed services for the residents, the spokesman for Al-Bunyan Al-Marsoos Operation, Mohammed Al-Ghasri said Tuesday.

UN-proposed government’s Defense Ministry denied appointing Brigade 504 to secure the coastal road in Al-Maya town in western Tripoli, saying the brigade is still under formation and has not been assigned any mission yet.

UN-proposed government’s Foreign Ministry dismissed Libya’s Ambassador to Canada, Fathi Al-Baja, and appointed Khalid Al-Sahli in his place. The order was sent as a letter from the Foreign Minister to Libya’s Canada Embassy, asking the sacked Ambassador to hand the post to the newly appointed diplomat.

Libya’s Red Crescent returned a four-month-old baby girl to Sudanese authorities after the girl’s father was killed fighting alongside IS militants in Sirte. The Sudanese authorities received the girl and returned it home.

US embassy in Libya announced lifting the travel ban on Libyans, which was issued by US President Donald Trump, adding that the ban has been temporarily eased and all Libyans who have valid entry visas to the US can travel with no restrictions.

GECOL in Sirte said power has returned to Sirte’s Neighborhoods 700 and 101, adding that the damages in the electricity network in other neighborhoods will be fixed soon to pave the way for the IDPs to return. It also added that Libyana mobile phone coverage also returned to Abugreign, Zamzam, Al-Weshka, and the areas from the coastal road to Saddada in eastern Misrata city.
