The Misrata-led forces have declared the full liberation of Sirte from the terrorist group of IS after seven consecutive months of ferocious clashes within the city and on its outskirts.

Libyan special navy forces recovered five migrant bodies off Tripoli shores on Monday. The forces called the Libyan Red Crescent in order to receive the bodies and take the necessary legal measures.

Sources from Benghazi reported that 9 of Haftar’s forces were killed Monday in clashes with the Benghazi Shura Council fighters in Ganfouda, western the city. Among the killed forces, there was a senior leader, the sources added, saying that 15 others were wounded. The clashes took place as the Dignity Operation forces ventured to advance on the besieged Ganfouda frontline.

US AFRICOM said it had carried out 14 airstrikes on Saturday, as part of Operation Odyssey Lightning that aims at striking IS locations in Sirte, thus reaching 492 air raids since August.

 Workers of Al-Thanni Government Prime Minister’s office threatened to suspend work at the office and its bureaus in the coming 72 hours if the truth behind  the kidnap of the Head of the Prime Minister’s Office, Abdelkader Hawail, who was abducted more than a week ago in Al-Bayda by an armed group that said was ordered to so by high-profile government figures.

Benghazi Municipality, which is appointed by the military governor of the east, said the match between Al-Ahli Benghazi and Al-Naser of the Libyan Soccer Cup won’t take place at Benina stadium or any other stadium in Benghazi suburbs, telling the Libyan Football Federation that those were the orders of Benghazi mayor.

The central committee for municipal elections urged Monday the members of Sirte municipality to convene an electoral meeting on December 12 at the HQ of Tripoli Local Governing Ministry. The spokesman of Sirte municipality said they will hopefully resume work in Sirte soon, calling on all the service institutions to be prepared to provide the residents with their basic needs in the current tough and critical period.

The Public Service Company launched a wide-range cleaning campaign in the suburbs of Sirte. The campaign included cleaning the war remnants and rubble off roads as well as cleaning the parks, public squares and schoolyards. The company also did some services to the health centers and sewage reservoirs at the education institutions in the eastern and western areas in Sirte, where residents returned.

A sit-in at the Benghazi branch of the Central Bank of Libya took place Monday against the governor of the Tripoli-based CBL Al-Sidiq Al-Kabeer over the deteriorated living conditions and shortage of cash at the banks. Benghazi is controlled by Al-Thanni government of the Tobruk-based House of Representatives, which only recognizes the parallel CBL in Al-Bayda.
