Tripoli-based Ministry of Interior has refuted news of abduction of UAE-funded Libya Channel journalist, confirming he was arrested by authorities on criminal charges.

Ambulance drivers sent an emergency letter to the Health Ministry of Al-Thanni government calling for allowing the Libyan ambulances to enter Egypt, confirming that four Libyan patients died while waiting on the border to be transferred from the Libyan ambulances to the Egyptian ones.

Residents, civil societies and oil & gas workers in the western region organized a demonstration to protest the crisis of shutting down oil fields and ports. The demonstrators issued a statement urging for reopening the oil fields and ports without prior conditions and for punishing those who are involved in the smuggling of fuel, saying the Petroleum Facilities Guard will remain committed to the duty it was thrust upon it without interfering in other affairs.

An explosion took place in Sabratha late on Monday as a tanker truck caught fire in western Sabratha’s gas station, said the Chief of Sabratha Security Department, Abdel Salam Al-Mabrook, who added that the blast happened because the driver did not abide by the safety measures leading to the explosion once the tanker touched against one of the depots during unloading, yet no casualties were reported.

The training department at the Ministry of Justice in Tripoli organized a workshop about the criminal investigation of money laundering under the supervision of the American Association for Lawmakers. The workshop will train 30 employees from the Public Prosecution Department of the Ministry of Justice in the field of money laundering.
