The Petroleum Facilities Guard (PFG) announced on Wednesday that an agreement had been reached to lift force majeure and resume production at Al-Feel oil field, which amounts to approximately 70 thousand barrels per day. According to a press release by the Media Office of the PFG, the agreement was reached after several consultations between the Office of the Attorney General, the Libyan intelligence Agency and the General Investigations Department to tackle all the obstacles that prevent the PFG from doing its job perfectly. Meanwhile, Security sources confirmed that the Special Deterrent Force in Tripoli had arrested the man responsible for the closure of Al-Feel oil field, who was identified as Abu Bakr Sooqi, the commander of the PFG in the region of Fezzan.

The Ministry of Health, of the Presidential Council, announced the launch of the first training program to obtain a diploma for orthopedic doctors working in Libyan hospitals in the field of sports medicine and injuries. A ministry official said that the training program launched last Saturday was adopted by the Center for Development of Medical Manpower and the General Union of Sports Medicine and will last for six months. The ministry announced their readiness to launch several training programs to award diplomas in a number of other disciplines during the coming period.

The President of the High Council of State (HCS), Abdulrahman Suweihli, called on Wednesday for the full activation of the judicial institutions and providing the necessary support to enforce its decisions and rulings. During his meeting with the Chairman of the Supreme Judicial Council, Mohammed Al-Hafi, Suweihli stressed the importance of independence of the judiciary away from political exploitation. The meeting also discussed the challenges and difficulties facing the judiciary and ways to tackle them.

The Arab foreign ministers have confirmed their commitment to the unity and sovereignty of Libya and its territorial integrity, rejecting foreign intervention of any kind in the country. In a statement issued at the conclusion of the 149th ordinary session of the Arab League Council at the level of foreign ministers in Cairo, they also vowed support to the efforts and measures taken by the Presidential Council to preserve security and undermine the activity of terrorist groups. The ministers also called for a comprehensive political solution to the crisis in Libya, and confirmed the Council's support for the full implementation of the Libyan political agreement signed in the city of Skhirat, Morocco.

A source in the Special Task Force (STF), led by the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior of the Presidential Council, Faraj Qaim, who is currently detained by Dignity Operation Forces in the eastern city of Rajma, said that three leaders of the STF, who are detained in the prisons of Khalifa Hefter in Marj entered the sixth day of their hunger strike. Captain Ayman Al-Asbali, Captain Faraj al-Arifi and Major Ali al-Ajili have been beaten and ill-treated in the prison for three months, according to source. The source further explained that the prisoners appealed to prison officials to allow their families to visit them, and also called on international organizations to intervene to release them.

The General Authority for Radio and Television of the eastern Interim Government, issued instructions on Wednesday to manage audiovisual stations to stop broadcasting foreign FM channels within their control areas and to limit them to local radio stations. The statement, which was published by the Libyan News Agency of the Interim Government in Bayda, stated that there are broadcast programs that serve the policies of foreign countries and promote the state of division in the country, while the need in Libya now is for national media calls for reconciliation and the fight against terrorism. The same institution had issued a decision in February to stop broadcasting Radio Wasat permanently, Radio Wasat is broadcast from Egypt and was banned under the pretext of receiving support from the Qatar Foundation.

The head of the General Authority for Culture, Hassan Ownis, said that the authority is currently preparing a memorandum to criminalize libel speech in the Libyan media. Ownis said in a press statement on Wednesday that the memo consists of 15 points, representing a media charter to reject misleading news, hatred, violence and extremism. Ownis added that the Libyan media scene has witnessed many attempts to develop a code of honor that controls the press and media discourse, but has not been successful so far.

The subcommittee for the elections of the Municipal Council of Zawiya, announced on Wednesday the registration of voters for the upcoming municipal elections. The committee began distributing election posters and publishing the lists of the 51 polling stations. The committee also launched a campaign on their Facebook page to explain to voters how to register via the message service. The committee for the elections of Municipal Councils, announced late last February, the date for the election of the Municipal Council of Zawiya and set it for the 28th of April.
