Benghazi Defense Brigades (BDB) has issued a statement reassuring that it is still holding firm onto the positions it has seized in the vicinity of the area it has located itself at after handing over the oil terminals to the Petroleum Facilities Guard of the UN-proposed government and after it had withdrawn to save the lives of its fighters as well as the oil depots at the terminals.

Several brigades and armed forces that took part in the clashes in Tripoli over the last three days announced that they won't be a part of the ceasefire reached and sponsored by the Presidential Council of the UN-proposed government at Thursday dawn.

8 sailors believed to be Turkish have drowned and 5 others rescued when a Turkish cargo ship carrying marble blocks to Misrata sank off the city’s port on Thursday, local sources reported.

The UN-installed Presidency Council brokered late on Wednesday an agreement with loyal brigades and municipal councils to stop fighting in Tripoli. PC member Ahmed Hamza and Defense Minister-designate Mihid Al-Barghati chaired a meeting in Abu Sittah Naval Base with the municipal councils of Misrata, Souq Al-Jonaa and Central Tripoli, in addition to commanders of loyal armed brigades from Misrata and Tripoli, to declare end of fighting in the capital.

The head of the media office of Tawergha municipality, Abdelrazzaq Qasim, denied that Tawergha IDPs camps in Fallah, Tripoli, were hit by random shelling, saying the news circulated on the media that a fire broke out in the camps due to random explosives is untrue. He also confirmed that a fire broke out in the buildings nearby the camps.

Presidential Guard of the Salvation Government said it won't stand idly by watching the state sovereign institutions being taken over by armed groups, referring to the Guest Palaces in Bab Bin Ghashir, Tripoli. It urged the armed groups as well to depart those institutions without any preconditions or it would use force to recapture them and secure the properties of the Libyan state. It warned residents of coming nearby the clashes' areas for their own safety.

Al-Ahli Tripoli is training in Morocco's capital today in preparation for its match against Fath Union Sport on next Saturday as part of the second leg matches of the round-of-32 of CAF Champions League. Al-Ahli will have its own major training on Friday at the match's stadium. The first leg game ended 2-0 for Al-Ahli Tripoli.

The National Commission for Human Rights in Libya (NCHRL) said it will do everything possible to end the suffering of the IS-family children who are held in Libyan prisons, saying we cannot blame the fathers' deeds on the kids. It added on Wednesday that it is working effortlessly with Libyan authorities and Tunisian observatory for human rights to settle the case down so that the children can go back to their relatives.
