The Libyan Navy Information Office, announced that the Coast Guard rescued 121 illegal immigrants who were on board a rubber boat off the coast of Bu Kammash in the far west of the country. The Media Office of the Libyan Navy said on their official Facebook page that the rescue operation took place on Wednesday evening after the motor of their boat broke down 18 miles north of Bu Kammash. It noted that among the 121 migrants were 24 women and children of African nationalities. The Media Office added that the migrants were transferred to the Tripoli Naval Base and to receive humanitarian and medical assistance before transferring them to the Anti-Illegal Immigration Agency in Tripoli.

The Presidential Council (PC) has issued a decision to form a ministerial committee chaired by Vice Chairman of the PC, Abdulsalam Kajman, to relay the latest events in the south. The decision stated that the committee will communicate with the conflicting parties in the south, and work on a cease-fire to restore peace, in addition to the formation of negotiating teams from both sides. These steps are hoped to bring rounds of discussions to address outstanding issues between the conflicting parties and work to find remedies on them, as well as the reactivation of security directorates in the south to ensure the achievement of security and stability and the provision of services of an urgent humanitarian nature.

Brega Oil Marketing Company has confirmed that their operations room will continue to supply fuel to the south and that they will hold meetings on an ongoing basis to finalize all arrangements in coordination with the distribution companies and the competent departments of the company and their carriers in a record time, according to the company's Media Office. The company revealed that the first shipment of fuel was determined to be one million liters of petrol and 240,000 liters of diesel for more than 30 fuel stations, pointing out that the fuel trucks began loading at its depots since yesterday to begin their journey after receiving permission to transport from Tripoli and Sabha from the security authorities.

A member of the High Council of State (HCS), Bilqasim Qazit, said that the HCS does not want to enter into legal discussions on the draft constitution, adding that the Constituent Assembly, an elected and technically competent body, was able to complete the constitution, which received the approval of more than two thirds of the elected assembly. Qazit added in a press release saying "We hope all political parties take advantage of this opportunity and put the country back on track after all of this current political polarization, I consider the results of the Constituent Assembly as a half miracle. Therefore, we appeal to all political parties to work to end the transitional phase and facilitate entry into a more long lasting political stage through the referendum on this constitution."

The Administrative Control Authority (ACA) requested the Central Bank of Libya (CBL) on Wednesday to suspend the procedures of 257 food importing companies until its approval. The ACA stated that it had discovered a violation by the Minister of Economy and Industry by approving the said companies without disclosing their procedures to the relevant bodies tasked with the implementation of the import budget.

The African Union (AU) announced that the High Level Committee on Libya will hold its meeting in the Ethiopian capital of Addis Ababa in mid-April to discuss the results of its members on the ground and coordinate efforts to resolve the Libyan crisis. The High Level Committee on Libya includes South Africa, Gabon, Ethiopia, Niger, Mauritania Uganda and Congo, in addition to Egypt, Sudan, Chad, Algeria, Tunisia, and Libya.

The United Nations Support Mission in Libya (UNSMIL) has expressed concern regarding the continuing violence in the city of Sabha and called on all parties to refrain from acts that endanger the lives of civilians. The UNSMIL warned in a statement on Wednesday that the increasing presence of armed groups in the south is edging the region closer to an increasingly dangerous situation, calling on all parties to work towards a ceasefire agreement and promote dialogue and reconciliation efforts, and refrain from rhetoric that could fuel the situation. Sabha has been descended into clashes for more than two weeks, resulting in civilian deaths and injuries, including women and children.

Foreign Minister, Mohamed Siyala, said that the ministry has contacted the Libyan Embassy in Italy regarding the subject of the Libyan child and his two brothers who were forced to travel across the sea illegally in the hope of obtaining treatment for the child suffering from cancer. Siyala told the Libyan News Agency that he had instructed the Libyan Embassy in Italy to follow up this matter and to place a representative in position to deal with their health issues, especially the child with cancer. The case of this Libyan child cancer patient has caused reactions in various media and social networking pages.

The Libyan Foreign Ministry has discussed in Tripoli the means of financing to be submitted by EU countries to Libya and the International Organization for Migration for the country. Discussions were held during a meeting at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Tripoli in the framework of the roundtables meetings held by the Ministry with international bodies interested in illegal immigration that travels through the Libyan territory. Delegates from a number of government sectors and a number of Libyan naval officers were present. The European Union announced on Tuesday the launch of a new program worth 50 million euros to improve the living conditions and resilience of vulnerable populations in key Libyan municipalities.
