The Municipality of Derna issued a statement Thursday saying the siege laid by Dignity Operation to the city is still in effect, thus worsening the already-miserable humanitarian situation of the city.

Week 8 from the Libyan Soccer League: AL-Madina won 2-0  Wednesday over Khaleej Sirte at Tripoli stadium and temporarily topped the second group.  Al-Sharara beat Al-Mahalla 2-1, while Al-Wahda beat Al-Tarasan 2-0 in the same group. Numerous food commodities and medicines that are Exported by the UAE to Libya by an allegedly Emirati fake firm are either expired or not for human use, an expert at the Libyan Center for Foods and Medicines told UAE 71 news website.

Sirte Municipality distributed money aids for 5166 displaced families from Sirte to other cities. Every family has got 500 dinars. A media official at the Municipality said the grants will be deposited in the bank account of each family, saying this grant is the first one and will be followed by another to be distributed on other 3500 displaced families.

The UN envoy to Libya Martin Kobler has declared that the Presidency Council, which was picked by the UN mission, is protected by militia groups. In an interview published in Egypt's Ahram newspaper on Tuesday, Kobler said the political agreement, signed in Skhirat in December 2015, stresses that Tripoli should become a green zone and all militia groups should leave it.
