Misrata and eastern region's delegations met Thursday in Cairo, Egypt, under the auspices of Egyptian government after their meeting was not successful yesterday due to misconduct by eastern delegation members, who are loyal to the Presidential Council's boycotting member Ali Al-Gotrani, according to sources from Cairo.

The price of fuel and gas cylinders has peeked in price on the black market in the city of Derna, eastern Libya. This comes after the blockade of all roads entering the city by Dignity Operation forces. The jump in price of fuel per liter has gone from 150 Dirhams to two and a half Dinars, while the price of a gas cylinder exceeded seventy dinars when its original price is usually two dinars. There is also shortages of a number of essentials and medicines, and the Wahda Hospital has warned their oxygen stocks are near depletion.

The head of the Presidential Council of the UN proposed government, Fayez Sarraj, formally received a copy of the draft Libyan constitution by a delegation comprising members of the CDA on Wednesday. Sarraj welcomed the delegation, praising their efforts to overcome the difficulties and obstacles faced at a stage he described as crucial in recent Libyan history, and to achieve a document that would be the supreme law of the state if the people approved it through the future referendum.

The administration of Communications and Information of the UN proposed government, have stated through their official Facebook page that the UN proposed government took over the building which houses the Libyan Embassy in Moscow, Russia. The administration added that the Vice President of the Presidential Council, Ahmed Maiteq, had a telephone conversation with Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Bogdanov who welcomed the move to take over the headquarters of the Libyan embassy and expressed his praise for Russian support of initiatives made by his government, and its role in bringing the views of the opposing Libyan parties closer together.

The head of the Presidential Council of the UN proposed government, Fayez Sarraj, held discussions with the Director-General of the International Organization for Migration (IOM), William Swing on Wednesday. The main topic was the organization's programs designed to deal with the issue of illegal immigration in Libya. Sarraj stated during the meeting that many countries that are the source of illegal immigrants do not cooperate as required, and called for the contribution of the IOM to solve this dilemma. Sarraj said he found it surprising that migration is confined to Libya when mentioned on the world stage, although Libya is not a source country for migrants, and the negative effects of illegal migration affect all of Europe either directly or indirectly.

Salim Sayah, the father of the Libyan track and field athlete Retaj Sayah, has stated that the decision of the Libyan Athletics Federation to punish his daughter and ban her from taking part in domestic and international competitions for a year is a complete farce. Salim Sayah said "The silence of officials responsible for sports in Libya is the biggest crime committed against our country and our world champions who are competing for the first continental and international rankings,". Retaj reiterated her intention to continue her journey and overcome any obstacles.

Al Hilal, Ahli Tripoli, Itihad and Shurta have all qualified for the semi-finals of the Libya Handball Championship, which are currently held at the Gharyan Sports Hall. Al Hilal team will face Shurta next, while Itihad will face Ahli Tripoli in the semi-finals on Friday. The competition will end on Saturday.

Haraish Hospital in Derna has launched a distress call to anyone who can help rescue the pregnant women and newborns in their hospital on Wednesday, due to the near-depletion of medical oxygen stores. In a tweet on Twitter, a member of the High Council of State called on the Presidential Council and the High Council of State to quickly intervene and open roads in an effort to save the besieged city from an impending disaster.

Libyan authorities have decided to close the border crossing between Tunisia and Libya at the Dahaiba, Wazen border. The crossing is to be closed for three days from midnight on Wednesday for what the Libyan authorities said was maintenance work. Radio Mosaic in Tunisia reported that security units from the Tunisian side had received notification from Libyan Customs that commercial traffic will be halted for 3 days without knowing the reasons for the closure.
