The UN-proposed government’s Presidential Council appointed Al-Mahdi Al-Maghrabi as the Ambassador to the UN to rpleace Ibrahim Dabbashi, who has been in post for 5 years. The Protocol and Communication Department at the UN listed Al-Maghrabi as the approved Libyan Ambassador in New York starting from August 22, 2016.

Dismissed Libyan Ambassador to the UN, Ibrahim Dabbashi, urged the Secretary-General of the UN Ban Ki-moon to invite the Speaker, Prime Minister, and Foreign Minister of the Tobruk-based House of Representatives to attend the UN meetings, tweeting if the UN invited Al-Serraj instead, they will file a lawsuit against the UN and the UN Security Council at the International Criminal Court.

Misrata Central Hospital reported that 2 killed fighters from Al-Bunyan Al-Marsoos arrived Wednesday in the hospital due to a landmine explosion. The landmine was planted by IS terrorists in the areas they withdrew from, sources added. In the Meantime, uneasy calm had descended on Sirte after Al-Bunyan Al-Marsoos announced a two-day deadline for the families of the IS militants to leave the area they are trapped in (residential areas 1 and 3).
