The Tripoli Revolutionaries Brigade said Sunday that it won’t allow those who were sent out of Tripoli for destabilizing it to come back at night in order to achieve their goals.

The UNICEF said on Friday that Italy had donated € 1 million to support a multi-sector program in Libya. The program will focus on children and their families in the conflict-hit regions including Sabha and Benghazi.

Police in charge of agriculture protection in Alwahat district in southeast Libya has announced that the Albafat agricultural project between the desert towns of Jalu and Jikharra was overrun by large swarms of crop eating locusts on Thursday evening. The Police has asked local authorities to intervene and prevent the spread of these swarms, which are now heading towards areas filled with date bearing palm trees in Jalu, Ajkharah and Awjla, and send a warning to all citizens and farmers.

Sources from Ben Jawad town have reported the abduction of three young civilians after being stopped by an armed group at a fake checkpoint in Harawa village, approximately 50 kilometers east of Sirte. The sources expect that ISIS militants are the main culprits behind the abduction, indicating that the abductees are local residents of Harawa and Sidra. “The three civilians are no more than twenty five years old, and the kidnappers had set up a temporary checkpoint for less than half an hour then disappeared”. The sources added.

Tripoli-based Al-Ahli Football Club will meet Tunisia's Étoile du Sahel on Saturday evening at the Burj Al Arab stadium in Alexandria, Egypt, for the CAF Champions League quarterfinal at 8pm Libyan time. The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has assigned an Algerian referee for this important and fateful match. The second leg will be played on the 24th of this month in the Tunisian city of Sousse.

Libyan Coast Guard patrols rescued 1,047 illegal immigrants from different nationalities, including a significant number of women and children on Saturday, according to the official Facebook page of the Libyan Navy Information Office. The search and rescue operation took place in three different areas including north of Sabrata, north of Talil and north of the Wadi area where migrants were on board eight rubber boats. The immigrants were safely returned to the beach and necessary humanitarian assistance was provided. The illegal immigrants were later handed over to the Immigration Control Unit in the city of Zawiya.

A mobile patrol of the Protection Force of Bani Walid town has found an unidentified body on the Man-Made River road between Bani Walid and Al-Shuwairf. Investigations later revealed that the body was that of an Egyptian carpenter who had disappeared on the 6th of September. The deceased was a resident of Sokna town and was found to have been tortured prior to his death.

The head of the General Investigation Department at the Ras Ajdair border crossing, Mohamed Mardia, denounced what he described as the complete silence of the Presidential Council regarding the harassment of Libyan citizens in the Tunisian border towns. Mardia said on Saturday that he had addressed the Chairman of Presidential Council more than once regarding the abuses suffered by Libyan travellers on the Tunisian side of the Libyan border, but to no avail.

The Libyan Football Federation has confirmed the cancellation of the match between Libya and Iraq, which was scheduled to be held in Basra on the 1st of October. The Federation stated through their official Facebook page that the Iraqi Football Federation sent a letter apologizing to the Libyan Football Federation saying they could not host the Libyan team because of the difficulty in obtaining visas and flight reservations plus the lack of time.

A festival was held for the Tebu national day of culture at the Tayouri district of Sabha. The festival was in the presence of a number of dignitaries and sheikhs of Tebu and Tuareg tribes and civil society institutions. The ceremony started with words that expressed the tribal culture, its depth and its worthy place in Libyan history, a culture that was stated to be that of peace and love through its arts, customs and traditions. The ceremony was filled with musical pieces and ancient Tebu folk dances as well as an exhibition of traditional collectables.

Navy spokesman, Ayoub Qasim, reported that an Italian navy ship has arrived at the Tripoli Naval Base to aid in the maintenance of the Libyan Coast Guard boats.
