The attendees of the African Union summit on Libya have confirmed in the final statement of the Brazzaville-held political event that there is no military solution in Libya, adding that only a Libyan-Libyan dialogue without foreign intervention can solve the crisis.

Wannabe ruler of Libya, Khalifa Haftar, has embarked on a campaign in the eastern part of the country to force residents into signing a paper recommending him to be “the president of Libya” following his failure to do so by military means.

Jalaa hospital in Benghazi received four casualties and 66 wounded from the Dignity Operation forces due to the armed clashes in Benghazi during the August period. Military sources stated that the majority of the dead were killed by landmines planted in the vicinity of Baladi Hotel and Sidi Akhribesh areas of Benghazi city, Among the wounded are those who received treatment, others that left the hospital immediately and those who left the country to complete treatment abroad.

Local and charitable institutions in the city of Derna organized a balloon festival in the city where parents and children participated in releasing dozens of balloons into the city sky from different places. Each group of balloons carried several messages calling for peace. Balloons were released from the roofs of houses and the local children's park and the Emilia tourist resort. The aim of this demonstration as a civil initiative is to remove the minds of people from the difficult atmosphere they are experiencing in the city because of the siege imposed by the Dignity Operation forces.

The Cleaning Service Company of Qaser Ben Ghashir was the target of an armed robbery by three unknown persons according to the Media Center of the Municipality of Qaser Ben Ghashir. The Media Center added that batteries of the cleaning trucks and telephones belonging to Bangladesh workers were stolen. The head of the Cleaning Service office stated that the trucks will remain parked until they get new batteries to resume operations, which will result in more garbage on the streets.

The Libyan volleyball team began training at the Misrata Sports Hall in a closed event with sixteen players representing five local clubs in preparation for the African qualifiers for the first zone qualifiers of the African Cup. After a training period in Misrata, the team will head to Tunisia to compete for the finals, hosted by Egypt In October.

The Libyan Center for Freedom of Expression (LCFE) condemned the arrest of the journalist Hussein Rajab, who is the head of the political affairs department of Al-Marj local radio station, by Dignity Operation forces. According to the Center, the arrest was part of new strict repressive policies designed to silence any freedoms. These policies threaten the fate of all journalists. It is noteworthy that Hussein Rajab was arrested because of publications written on his Facebook page, criticizing a decision of the military ruler Abdul Razig Nadori.

The fourth meeting of the African High-level Committee on the Resolution of Conflict in Libya kicked off in the Congolese capital Brazzaville on Saturday. The summit was attended by fifteen heads of state and a number of Libyan personalities including the President of the Presidential Council Faiz Al-Sarraj, the speaker of the House of the Representatives Aqilah Saleh and the head of the High Council of State AbdulRahman Suweihli in addition to the UN envoy to Libya Ghassan Salameh.

A number of militants have stopped the supply of gas from the Wafaa oil field to power plants, without disclosing any demands so far. The General Electric Company of Libya (GECOL) said in a statement on Saturday that the public electricity network will have to increase the electricity cut times due to the partial closure, which led to the loss of two hundred megawatts daily to the network.

A team from the Airports Authority paid a field visit to the El-Wig Military Airport in the far south of Libya on the border with Chad to inspect the condition of the airport and its facilities in terms of technical aspects and consider the possibility of using it to receive civilian flights and determine the needs of the airport for maintenance, technical and logistic equipment.

The Brega Oil Company stated on their official Facebook page on Saturday that a loaded fuel truck was hijacked along with the driver on the Aljfara road. The company called on the MPs of Aljfara, the Ministries of Defense and Interior and the elders of the city to intervene urgently to know the fate of the driver and ensure his safety, calling on them to urgently secure public roads and protect fuel trucks.
