The member of the fuel and gas crisis committee and mayor of Wadi Al-Bawanis Belqasim Saeid confirmed that 80 tank trucks filled with fuel headed to southern Libya from Misrata oil depot, saying that 12 other tank trucks had headed to Al-Jufra.

The Municipality of Al-Ghuraifa, located in the south of Libya, has begun work on the installation of solar panels on their health centers. The Municipal Council stated on its official Facebook page that the operation will include Qayyrat and Jermeh medical centers as well as Al-Ghuraifa village hospital. This new initiative comes in order to benefit from renewable energies and reduce the impact of frequent power cuts on patients.

The Municipal Council of Sabratha called on all administrative and government civil servants to return to work and provide their services to citizens by Sunday. The council called on all employees to return to work as they wished to emphasize their keenness in returning all vital facilities within the city to full working order.

The Illegal Immigration Agency in Tripoli launched a second phase of registration for illegal immigrants from Morocco on Saturday. The Agency stated that it has photocopied and recorded the details of the Moroccan migrants, and it will now send them on to the Moroccan authorities to facilitate their return home.

The head of the Illegal Immigration Agency in Sabratha, Basim Gharbali, stated that they have arrested more than 6,000 illegal immigrants at their places of assembly and boat launching areas along the city's coast. Gharbali added that they are unable to provide the migrants with full humanitarian assistance, pointing out that among them are pregnant women, children and patients. He has requested that the responsible authorities should intervene and assist his agency in Sabratha to provide the proper services to the city's immigration centers.

A workshop was held at the Faculty of Tourism in Misrata on the promotion of small and medium enterprises for women. The workshop was organized jointly by the Ayadi Khayreya organization and the Misrata Business Center for Support of Small and Medium Enterprises. One of the organizers stated that the aim of the workshop is to engage businesswomen in the city and support them in the labor market as well as promoting their projects. The organizers also stated that this workshop is only the beginning and they plan to follow it up with future workshops, involving the Department of Promotion, Marketing and others.

The commander of the operations of the Infantry Battalion 301, Mohammed Bushaala, confirmed the closure of the road linking Tripoli and Wirshiffana on Saturday. Bushaala stated that the closure came as a result of an attack by an armed group from Wirshiffana on Saturday morning, which killed two members of the battalion. He added that the armed groups, which associate themselves with the so called Wirshiffana armed forces, are responsible for armed robberies and car hijackings, indicating that the battalion has been subjected to several attacks from the same group recently. The region where this incident took place is experiencing heightened security tensions as military reinforcements pour in from all over Libya, some believe that the truce between the Battalion 301 and the so-called Tribal Army has collapsed and the region could witness a new war at any moment.

The Special Operations Room for Misrata and Sirte, which is part of the Bunyaan Marsoos Operation, announced on Saturday that the curfew on cars traveling in the city of Sirte and its environs would be reduced from 11 pm to 6 am. It was previously set between 9 pm and 6 am.

Human Rights Solidarity (HRS) has called for the release of 1700 detainees in the prisons of the Special Deterrent Force of the Ministry of the Interior, held in the prison cells at Mitiga in Tripoli without any legal procedures. In its statement on Friday, the HRS called on the Presidential Council to control the “militias” it supports, and to constantly strive to protect the rights of civilians, adding that the latest person arrested by the Special Deterrent Force was a citizen named Naji al-Issawi who was taken by force from his house on Hawatah Street in Tripoli, without charge.

The Libyan national football team lost against the Republic of Congo by two goals to one in a match hosted at the Mustapha Ben Jannat Stadium in Monastir, Tunisia. The match was part of the penultimate round of qualifying for the 2018 World Cup qualifiers. This result sees Libya scoring three points while Congo took second place for Group A teams with 10 points. The result also means that the Libyan team has lost the opportunity to qualify for the World Cup after losing three consecutive games in the first, second and third rounds of qualifying.

The President of the Italian Chamber of Deputies, Laura Boldrini, has regretted the siege of civilians in Derna by Dignity Operation forces, calling it a clear violation of human rights. During her meeting with President of the High Council of State, Abdul-Rahman Al-Swaihli, in Rome on Friday, she called on all parties to work for ending this siege and alleviate the suffering of the city's inhabitants. Dignity Operation forces have been sieging Derna for months, preventing access of food, fuel and medical supplies to the city.
