The two committees of the House of Representatives (HoR) and the High Council of State (HCS) have come to terms regarding a new Presidential Council with only three members and a separate government.

The Central Security Force of the Directorate of Security of Al-Rujban mountain town seized Saturday two trucks carrying some 80 thousand liters of fuel traveling outside the main road on their way to the Libyan-Tunisian border. A security source said that the trucks were escorted by militiamen who fled immediately after being cornered by the Central Security Force, adding that the fuel cargo has been confiscated and will be unloaded at the town's filling station.

The third meeting of civil society organizations of Sirte was held under the supervision of the Civil Society Commission of the city. The meeting, which was attended by 21 of the 68 institutions registered with the Commission, discussed ways to enhance the role of civil institutions and coordinate with international organizations in order to communicate with the Municipality of Sirte. The meeting also agreed to submit periodic reports from different institutions of the Civil Society Commission in the city, in addition to developing standards that will support the work of the institutions within the municipality.

The Italian Foreign Ministry has announced an assistance package of 60 million euros for migration management in Libya and Tunisia to regulate the illegal immigration flows. In a statement, the ministry said that the Foreign Minister Angelino Alfano had planned a 60 million euros in aid to Libya and Tunisia as significant states in terms of controlling the flow of illegal immigration, adding that the ministry urged Italian NGOs capable of working in crisis areas to provide professional input through coordinating with the Libyan authorities and local NGOs.

Al-Nasr club of Benghazi won the Libyan Basketball Super Cup after defeating Al-Ittihad from Tripoli on Friday at the Suleiman Al-Durrat Sports Complex in the city of Benghazi. The match, which was attended by a large crowd of Al-Nasr fans, ended with a 37-35 victory. Al-Nasr club is the champion of the three major titles of the Libyan sports season 2016-2017; the League, the Cup and the Super Cup.

The Chairman of the Presidential Council, Fayaz Al-Sirraj, issued a statement on Saturday regretting the ongoing fighting in Sabratha, which erupted two weeks ago and left several citizens dead and caused severe damage to public and private properties. Al-Sirraj called the conflicting parties for de-escalation and to follow and show restraint in order to support the stability of the state, warning that lawless groups will exploit this fighting to create discord and fuel up the conflict in various parts of the country.

The Ministry of Health has inaugurated the National Centre for Health System Development in Tripoli, in the presence of the Chariman of the Presidential Council Fayaz Al-Sirraj and the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health, Issa Al-Omayani, in addition to several health experts from the public and private sectors. During a speech at the opening ceremony, Al-Sirraj said that this step marks the beginning of the development of the health system in the country.

Member of the Shura Council of Derna, Saad Habel, said on Saturday that Dignity Operation militants are continuing to prevent the families, trapped at the neighbouring town of Kirissah for several days, from returning to the city. Habel explained that the militants closed the dirt road on the coast of Kirissah and tried to expel the trapped families from a mosque where they have been waiting for three days to return to their homes in Derna. He added that Dignity Operation militants have also prevented ambulances and all humanitarian cases from exiting Derna, which led to a further deterioration in the humanitarian situation in the city.

The Libyan football team is due to leave for Tunisia on Sunday to enter a short training camp before facing the Republic of Congo on October 7th in the Tunisian capital of Tunis, as part of the fifth round of the 2018 World Cup qualifiers. The Libyan team will include 24 players, among them the three professionals aboard, in addition to the technical and administrative staff.

The Illegal Immigration Agency announced on Saturday the repatriation of 11 illegal immigrants to Algeria via Mitiga Airport in Tripoli. The Agency explained that 11 illegal immigrants of Algerian nationality have voluntarily returned to their country, noting that their route will be through Tunis-Carthage Airport before reaching their final destination Houari Boumediene Airport in Algeria. It added that the repatriation program comes in coordination with the International Organization for Migration.
