The Military Prosecutor of Dignity Operation, Faraj Al-Sosah, has issued an arrest warrant against Deputy Interior Minister of Presidential Council, Faraj Egaim, 2 days after high tensions in the war-ravaged city of Benghazi.

The National Commission for Human Rights in Libya (NCHRL) expressed deep concern in a statement issued Saturday about the reports that said 28 bodies were found on the road nearby Hira Valley since last Wednesday and up until Friday.

A security source from Ghat has confirmed that clashes took place Saturday between a military patrol and a group of gunmen near the Junoon Cave. The source explained that 7 gunmen opened fire at the patrol, resulting in clashes between the two parties. A white Toyota was seen carrying seven gunmen while fleeing towards the area of Tahala, south of Gat. The source noted that the area is currently besieged by security forces, indicating that the gunmen are believed to be behind the abduction of Turkish engineers working for Ubari gas-fired power plant.

Foreign Minister of Presidential Council, Mohamed Sayala, said that 30 embassies have resumed work from within Tripoli and are run by accredited ambassadors or chargé d'affaires after three years of working from outside Libya. Sayala told Xinhua News Agency that his ministry is working on the return of all embassies and on providing proper security conditions to enable them from working within the capital Tripoli, noting that this will facilitate visa issuance for the Libyan citizens. The Minister added that they are currently conducting contacts with the U.S. State Department in order to reopen the U.S. embassy in Libya.  He revealed that a high-level delegation from the U.S. State Department will visit Tripoli soon to examine the headquarters of the embassy in terms of the building and its location.

Preparations are ongoing by the National Center for Disease Control (NCDC) to carry out the seasonal flu vaccination campaign starting from November 18 throughout Libya. According to sources with the Center, the 12-day campaign will target pregnant women, elderly persons aged 50 years and above, health service providers working in the health centers and those suffering from chronic diseases such as diabetes, heart disease, respiratory diseases, kidneys, nervous system and the HIV.

The Faculty of Medicine of Tripoli University hosted on Saturday the third medical education conference under the title "Quality in Medical Education", sponsored by the European Union. The event was attended by the deans of the medical schools in Libya and relevant parties from the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Education, in addition to several medical students and those interested in this aspect. The Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Medicine for Scientific Affairs, Ahmed Zayed, said that the conference discusses the global quality standards and how to apply them in the Faculty of Medicine, noting that the conference will focus on three topics including admission criteria, curricula, national exams and international accreditation of students' degrees in the Faculty of Medicine.

Tunisia held the Libyan football national team Saturday to a goalless draw at home to book their place in the 2018 the World Cup. 1 point was enough for the Tunisians to qualify to the WC finals in Moscow. The match, played at Rades Stadium, was not vital for the Libyans as they pulled out of the qualification in the fourth round, while Tunisia was looking for a draw to reserve the precious qualification card. Thousands of Tunisian fans held their breath and had to wait to the blowing of the whistle to celebrate the World Cup qualifiers.

A member of Wirshiffana tribal council, Ahmed al-A'our, announced on Saturday that an emergency committee is to be formed to assess the damage caused to houses and property by the recent clashes in the region. He stressed that the committee will make sure that those affected will be compensated for damages inflicted upon them by reaching out to the Presidential Council and its concerned ministry.
