The Sabha municipality said Friday that about 120 families were internally displaced from Tayori neighborhood in Sabha due to the clashes in southern region, and the city in particular. On Facebook, the municipality said that it had formed a committee to register the families, adding that so far, 700 men and women plus 200 children have been documented. Meanwhile, the Head of the Public Relations Bureau at Al-Taher Al-Zawiy Organization in Sabha, Ali Al-Kashekri, said they have talked to the displaced families, who took refuge in Abu Bakr Al-Siddiq School, and manged to provide them with the necessary foods they need, in cooperation with the volunteers from Menshiya neighborhood.

The Investigation Unit of Zuwara Security Directorate has intercepted a group of illegal immigrants in the eastern part of the city while on their way to start their trip to Italy. On its website, the Zuwara Security Directorate clarified that a joint security force from the northern and southern police stations detected a boat that was about to carry illegal immigrants on Friday night and managed to bring down the smuggling operation in the early hours of Saturday. The Directorate added that around 47 illegal migrants were arrested from African, Pakistani and Bangladeshi nationalities, noting that search is still on for persons involved in the operation.

The Ministry of Education has congratulated Saturday Libyan student Kholod Hamza for receiving an award for the best graduation project among 35 European countries at the International Conference on Electrical Engineering in Germany. The Minister of Education, Osman Abdul-Jalil, expressed his civic pride on behalf of the Ministry of this achievement, which adds value to the record of scientific achievements of Libya. Kholod received a patent for an “Intelligent Car Tracking System.” She was nominated for best introduction and lecture by the President of the European Universities Union, and named as the youngest professor of the master's degree.

A protest was held by the 19 February movement on Saturday against corruption and poor living conditions in the country, especially in terms of lack of cash and the high prices of the dollar in the parallel market. Hundreds of peaceful protesters rallied in the streets of central Tripoli demanding politicians and officials in the west of the country to leave, and chanting "get out, we have had enough." The movement called on the Attorney-General to intervene and hold accountable the beneficiaries of the appropriations and the counterfeiters who ravaged the livelihoods of the Libyans, and led the country to this dire state, according to the protesters.

Milletah oil and gas company said Sunday that Libya's biggest oilfield, Sharara, had been shutdown after a citizen closed the pipeline that pumps the field's oil to Al-Zawiya Refinery. The person, named Hatem Al-Hadi from Zintan, claimed the pipeline passes through his land and caused environmental pollution, Milletah company said in a statement on its Facebook page.

The Libyan National Oil Corporation (NOC) said it shipped the first cooking gas shipment from Zueitina oil port in central Libya to Benghazi. The NOC said on its website that 35.000 barrels of cooking gas were shipped onboard Tahadi vessel.

Libyan Organization for Human Rights (LOHR) rejected the repetitive visits of western ambassadors to Libyan cities, especially to Benghazi. In a statement on Saturday, the LOHR said it is flowing up on the movement of ambassadors of western countries in Libya, especially Britain, France and Italy, and the meetings they hold with whomever they desire, adding that they are even being awarded in certain occasions.

A group from the Abidat tribe in the eastern region has rejected the calls for separation, describing those behind the calls as mere advertisers who are unaware of the consequences of such acts that would push the country to the unknown.
