The spokesman of the operations room of Al-Bunyan Al-Marsoos refused to comment on the letter sent to the Presidential Council calling on it to request a military intervention by the US to target fortified and dangerous positions for IS in Sirte, pointing out that a presser will soon take place to explain this issue. Some social media posted a “leaked” letter from Al-Bunyan Al-Marsoos’s operation room to the PC calling for US military assistance to bomb IS in Sirte.

Civil Registry Authority in Sabha announced suspension of work for a week to come starting Sunday over the killing of Head of the Civil Registry Office in Murziq, Ahmed Salheen and the mandate Mousa Al-Tumi. The Sabha Civil Registry Authority said the murder of the two came after threats Salheen received before his death and they were for his rejection to take fake paper from some people in Murziq, adding that some foreigners in the city are trying to obtain official paper by force.

The Mayor of Sabratah, Hasan Al-Thuwadi said Sunday that more than 120 bodies for illegal immigrants drowned while trying to reach Europe via the Libyan shores in July alone, pointing out that bodies of migrants surface on a daily basis on the city’s beaches.

Misrata Council of Elders and Notables issued a statement to denounce the crackdown on demonstrations at Tripoli’s Martyrs Square by armed groups affiliated with the Presidential Council of the UN-proposed government on Friday.

Tanasuh TV channel has said that the UN-proposed government and its Interior Ministry bear the responsibility of abducting its crew that was going to the Martyrs Square on Friday to cover the protests against the French intervention in Libya. Tanasuh TV director Sohail Gharyani said it's everyone's right to demonstrate without crackdown by any party and that Tanasuh TV is not responsible for any false news that raises doubts about the abduction of the crew.

The Head of Sabha Medical Center urged civil societies and security departments to exact security in the center, saying it is very easy to solve the medical issues once the center is secured and its staff and patients are protected. He called on all state institutions to do their jobs to enable the center to provide services to everyone.

The Presidential Council of the UN-proposed government said it allocated 150 million dinars to the Local Governing Ministry so that it distributes them on the municipalities. The Minister of Local Governing said the money will be distributed next week on the municipalities as per the second chapter of the budget.

Bushra News Agency, which is close to the Benghazi Shura Council, said Benghazi Medical Center received 14 bodies from Khalifa Haftar’s militias, who were killed in Saturday clashes with Benghazi Shura Council’s fighters on Al-Guwarsha frontline, adding that Al-Jalaa Hospital received 11 and the rural hospital, Al-Abyar, received three bodies.

The Libyan Center for Freedom of Press (LCFP) urged the Interior Minister of the UN-proposed government to immediately order the security authorities in Tripoli to protect the journalist and media crews from being arrested or kidnapped by gunmen over shooting demonstrations. This urge came after the abduction of three journalists from Tanasuh TV channel on Friday while they were covering the demonstration at the Martyrs Square in Tripoli.

The Head of the Libyan athletes’ team that will take part in Rio Olympic Games 2016, Nour Addeen Al-Krekshi, said the tem will head to Tunisia first to gather the rest of the Libyan athletes and then off it will go to Brazil via Morocco, pointing out that the rest of the athletes will join on August 04 as some games will kick off later in August.
