The Presidential Council condemned Saturday the extrajudicial execution of 10 unidentified persons in Benghazi by what it described as “a figure who claims to be part of the army”, without mentioning his name. In a statement, the Council described the execution as “irresponsible act” and “a flagrant violation of civil and military legislation,” insisting that the state system is the only one authorized to prosecute and punish criminals. The Council added that it had followed with great concern reports of similar executions of three youths in the city of Derna, expressing its strong condemnation of such acts. "We call on everyone to cooperate with the security services in order to bring the perpetrators of crimes to justice and punish them within the law," the statement read.

Four unidentified bodies arrived at the morgue refrigerator in Benghazi Medical Centre after being found dumped in some areas of the city on Saturday, local media sources confirm. The sources clarified that the bodies had signs of torture and gunshots, adding that two were found in Souq Al-Hout, north of Benghazi, while the other bodies were reported in the areas of Qaryounis and Qanfouda in the west part of the city. Benghazi woke up on Friday to a heinous crime where 12 bodies were found bearing marks of torture and gunshots, seven of them were dumped near the Nahir Road while five other bodies were found in Laithi district.

The Libyan Coast Guard rescued on Saturday, 86 illegal immigrants from aboard a rubber boat north of Abu Kammash district, west of the Libyan capital Tripoli. The spokesperson of the Libyan Navy, Ayoub Qasim clarified that the immigrants were of different African nationalities, noting that they were later transferred to the shelter center of the Illegal Immigration Agency in Tajoura suburb after providing them with necessary medical and humanitarian assistance. Among the rescued migrants were 15 women and 9 children from 9 African countries, besides others from Egypt, Tunisia, Morocco and Sudan.

Senior officer in the Coast Security in Tobruk, Abdel Salam Shehata, has revealed in a press statement that they were able to recover the body of one of the sailors of the Egyptian trawler that was lost a few days ago on the shores of Ras El Tin, about 50 km east of the city of Derna. Shehata confirmed that the body recovered was transferred directly to the morgue of Tobruk Medical Centre, noting that the Public Prosecutor's office of Tobruk was informed and in the presence of the forensic doctor at the Centre, in order to carry out the necessary procedures on the matter. A few days ago, an Egyptian trawler sank in Ras al-Tin area east of Derna with 15 Egyptian sailors aboard; five of them were rescued, while the fate of the other 10 remained unknown.

Derna Chief of Security, Yahya Al-Osta Omar, has condemned the silence of official state authorities and human rights organizations towards the siege that have been imposed on the city for several months now. In a press statement, Al-Osta said that the city has been suffering from a severe shortage of fuel and foodstuffs for several months, warning that the city is on the brink of a humanitarian crisis. The coordinator of the Gathering of Derna People, Adel Baraasi, had warned earlier of a complete breakdown of water supplies in the city, due to the depletion of diesel fuel stock in the desalination steam plant.

The Security Directorate of Sirte has proceeded in cooperation with the Red Crescent of Misrata and Sirte in recovering the bodies of the ISIS militants who were found buried in the neighborhood 600. The Directorate confirmed that the Criminal Investigation Department of the Security Room Sirte had provided them with all the necessary equipment to retrieve the bodies from the neighborhood 600, in addition to another site, which was discovered a few days ago. Lately, a local citizen had reported a cemetery in a house in an area known as Kambu.

The Director of the Information Office at the Educational Facilities Authority, Mustafa Al-Farjani, said Saturday that the Department discussed during its meeting with the Authority of Development of Administrative Centers the completion of the suspended educational projects in various municipalities. In a press statement, Al-Farjani clarified that the meeting discussed ways to complete about 192 pending projects, taking into account the geographic distribution and the percentage of completion of the projects stalled, stressing the need to address the problem of overcrowded classrooms. The total of suspended projects has been estimated at 1500 ones, in which only 192 of them were agreed upon to be finalized after releasing the government's budget.

A member of the Board of Directors of the National Oil Corporation, Jadallah Al-Okli, stated Saturday that the daily oil production has made a remarkable recovery in the last period. In a press statement, Al-Okli explained that the oil production healing depends on the availability of necessary budgets, in addition to maintaining security and stability in the oil regions. He also pointed out that the meetings of the Board of Directors in the past period concluded to adopt the proposals and programs of corporate activity for the current year and to give priority to the national service and engineering companies of the institution in the implementation process.  Al-Okli noted that the departments concerned in the NOC are currently reviewing their budgets for the current year in order to present them for adoption.

The General Electricity Company in Libya (GECOL) said on its Facebook page that unknown gunmen opened fire on the deputy head of the projects department Ali Al-Bahloul when he arrived in his workplace Sunday, adding that he was transferred to the hospital and his health condition is stable. GECOL added that the gunmen stole a vehicle as well, calling on the authorities to protect the workers and employees of the GECOL, warning of the bad impact of such assaults on the performance of the workers.

Gunmen killed two Sabha facilities security staffers and injured two others as they attacked their workplace Sunday. Media sources in the city reported that the attack happened Sunday dawn in Gayed area in downtown Sabha by unknown gunmen. Sabha, which is located in southern Libya, is hit by deteriorated security situations and bad living conditions, as is the rest of the south.

The High Council of State (HCS) strongly condemned the extrajudicial execution of prisoners by Mahmoud Al-Werfalli - a field commander at the Khalifa Haftar-led self-styled army - in Benghazi. The HCS added that condemnations and statements are not effective anymore and cannot stop the murders taking place in eastern Libya, where impunity has grown larger. It also blamed Haftar's command in Benghazi for such crimes, urging the international community to take the needed measures toward Haftar's command violations. The HCS also said it was upset to hear of the reports of extrajudicial executions of three people in Derna, urging for holding perpetrators of such crimes responsible for their acts and sending them to justice.
