The Italian Foreign Ministry said none of the embassy staffers in Tripoli was hurt in the car bomb blast that took place on Saturday evening in an area close to the embassy compound.

The head of Al-Khums military council, Mustafa Sultan, said the member of the council, Omar Al-Shatiwi, was killed by unidentified persons near the city’s power steam plant, adding that the killers were in a car with blotted windows and got away fast after gunning the member down.

Sabha mayor, Hamid Al-Khayali, said the water shortage is still persisting in the city even after the power returned, adding that it is because many pumps have been damaged and the power voltage is very weak. He added that the municipality is providing water to houses by water tanker trucks until the issue is fixed.

Many areas nearby Al-Rayayna district in Nafousa Mountain lost power as the electricity office of the district said it had to cut the power because a cat entered into the cables cabins and started touching electric cables leading to a power outage, according to the office’s Facebook page.  A team from Gharyan has started repairing the issue.

The meeting discusses the ways possible to expand the political agreement to revive it anew after months of inaction.

The Man-Made River system administration, Hasawna, Jafara, said it had repaired the damages and resumed filling the eastern water track saying water supplies could flow in the capital on Sunday piecemeal according to the availability of power, especially that the electric network went into three total blackouts last week.

The head of the Russian Federation Council's defense committee, Viktor Ozerov, said on Sunday that Russia is not conducting talks on creating military bases in Libya’s eastern region. Pro-Haftar media claimed that he had agreed with Russia on setting up military bases in the east in exchange of Russian airstrikes similar to those in Syria.
